One of the areas I am greatly interested in is fantasy. In particular world building of different cultures that feel alive. I am inspired by some of my favorite authors such as Tolkien, Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

Throughout the design process I knew I wanted to create a grand ostentatious design. Using larger shapes and exaggerated costume pieces allowed me to experiment with this idea.

Throughout this project I wanted to experiment with shape language, I drew on inspiration from many renaissance era paintings as well as cultural ideas from the ancient world. These were a few of my favorite sketches I produced, as well as the final design. In addition to this, my main focus for this project was for costume concept designs as I found I enjoy this aspect of character design and visual development.
